The State of AI Video Pricing
A normalized, source-verified survey of what it costs to generate a second of AI video across every major model and API provider — 93 price points across 14 models and 11 providers, 94% directly verified. Free to read, free to cite, free to redistribute with attribution.
The State of AI Video Pricing— August 2026
Three findings define the current market: the price of the same model can vary by up to 20× depending on provider and tier; Seedance 2.5 launched at a clean ~1.5× premium over its predecessor on the same first-party API; and a handful of consumer subscriptions now undercut the cheapest raw API rate outright. Every figure is normalized to USD per second, dated, and source-linked.
